Kihirdették a 2022-es The Game Awards minden kategóriájának jelöltjeit

God of War: Ragnarok 10 jelöléssel áll az élen, és esélyes az Év játéka-díjra.

A Game Awards 2022 december 8-án kerül megrendezésre, magyar idő szerint nem túl jó időpontban, (már 9-én) hajnali 1:30-kor kezdődik. Az éjjeli baglyok tudják követni, ugyanis majd élőben közvetítik Twitch-en, YouTube-on, Facebookon, Twitteren és nagyjából minden más streaming platformon is. Több, mint 30 kategóriában hirdetnek győztest, természtesen egy játék több kategóriában is indulhat. A legtöbb jelölést a God of War: Ragnarök kapta, összesen 10-et. A 2022-es Game Awards egy új kategóriát is tartalmaz majd, a Legjobb adaptációt, amely a "játékok által inspirált projekteket díjazza a szórakoztatóiparban".

A leginkább talán az Év játéka díjra kíváncsiak a legtöbben. Ebbe a kategóriába hat jelölt került. Mind nagyon várt címek voltak, amelyek remekül sikerültek. Az év első felében az Elden Ring örvendett nagy népszerűségnek, majd a nyár eleje egyértelműen a Strayről szólt. Előbbi egy sok kihívást rejtő soulslike cím, míg utóbbi egy kalandjáték, ahol egy kismacskát irányíthattunk. Ez egy izgalmas koncepció volt, azonban a megjelenés után néhány héttel elült a hype. A Plague Tale: Requiem esetében magasan voltak az elvárások, mert sorozat első része nagyon jó fogadtatást kapott, különösen a nyomasztó és hidegrázós hangulata miatt. A folytatás hasonlóan jól sikerült, ami egyenesen az első helyre repítheti a programot. Persze ehhez lesz még egy-két szava a God of War: Ragnaröknek, ami talán a legnagyobb esélyese a díjnak. Kratos és Atreus kalandjai érték a legtöbb jelölést a díjátadón, ami nem meglepő, nem sok elemébe lehet belekötni a játéknak. Hasonlóan a Plague Tale-hez, a február 18-án megjelent Horizon Forbidden West is egy nagy sikerű előd után kellett, hogy megugorja a lécet (a 2017-es Horizon Zero Dawn folytatása), a poszt-apokaliptikus Amerikai Egyesült Államokban játszódó szoftver pedig nem okozott csalódást.
